Universities in Oxford
Oxford boasts two universities – the
University of Oxford and
Oxford Brookes University.
The former is one of the most famous in the world, invariably competing with Cambridge for top place among the UK's universities and consistently ranking in the world's top 10, whilst also attracting leading academics from around the globe.
The latter, based at Headington Hill and given its charter in 1991, has been voted the best new university in the UK for the last 10 years.
