"Letter returned to sender"

My niece, Susan Leslie, lives in Wytham, in the Keepers Cottage. Last month I mailed a letter to her, failing to add “Keepers Cottage”. My letter was returned, Royal Mail stating ‘address incomplete’.

Is it too much for a postal worker to look for her address instead of returning my letter? After all, Wytham is not London! Another example of British incompetence. I fear for your future..
